    66 Accelerator pedal

I know I have used these spacers in the past on my car but it had been so long I checked out the ASM and UPC #6 - D1 shows the pedal being screwed directly to the floor with out the spacers. I though they were used to get a firm mont to compensate for the pad and carpet thickness. Which is correct for a June 66 car with or without?
    Thanks

Jim, the drawing I'm looking at might just be the pedal going on top of the carpet, therefore I wouldn't see the spacers (but you do see the weld nuts.)
I used them last and with your conformation from your car I am putting them back in.
Thanks for getting back so fast, I only lost a couple of minutes of assembly time.

I don't see anything on the car . I just looked at the Baggie containing the Gas Pedal and noted the two brown Spacers .

I am still a long way off from putting it back in

Good luck, and you are welcome ,

        Jim.

It's back in and there is a cut-out in the re-pop insulation of the right size for it. It pretty much came back to as I was doing it, it has been about five years since I took it apart so I'm not blaming old age for this one I shouldn't look at the assembly manual as much as I do.
          Thanks again

            Peter -

You'll find the spacers in the carpet installation - UPC 1, sheet F11, view "B", item #6.
