    Rochecter Carb confusion

    Hey guys...I just took a rochester carb off my 70 Chevelle SS to install a polished Holley. I was told by the guy that restored the car it was the correct carb for a 396/350 w/mt. After advertising it for sale on the CHevelle site, I get an email that it is not for a Chevelle, but is the correct carb for a 70 Corvette 350/350 with mt. CAN you verify this? THe numbers are 7040507 and after that number is 0887. THanks

      The 7040507 carb IS designated for use on '70 Corvette configured for 350/350 engine with manual trans AND the California NA9 emission system...
