I think you are going to have a hard time finding the bison grain or crushed grain fabric for the front windlace which is the same as the rear wireon. If you find some let me know.
When I did my top I couldn't find any and used the pinpoint top material to fab one:

I used foam upholstry bead from an auto upholstry shop. It is a lot more flexible and resilient then the door seal bead. Use the 3/8" bead, you can also get the 1/2".
Then I glued it and hand sewed it:

Didn't come out too shabby:

But the wrong material.
Here's a shot of that 2007 National bowtie in the area of the rear wireon, so you can see the difference in the material:

The difference stands out a lot more on a black top than a white one.
I would not attempt to make a rear wireon, too complicated for me with the wire inside. But the closed rear wireon width is about 5/8" when flattened over the bow staples or tacks.
If you do find a source for that front windlace material, let me know. I need to redo mine.
