1967 splash shield - front, outer, right - is this correct, or has this been altered?

The car is a '67 coupe, L79 with C60. I have read about various small changes to the splash shields, depending on model year and options (e.g., some having a rubber seal on the LH, and some not, depending on whether the car had A/C or side exhaust, etc.).

The RH splash shield that came off this car is rusted through (picture #2), and it doesn't look correct in configuration, it looks like part of it has been cut out with a tin-snip. It doesn't match any of the vendor catalog pictures.

Before I start searching for a replacement, I want to be sure of what I'm looking for. Is the correct part number 3797276? If mine is not correct, will an NOS example be the same as an original, or do I need to find a used original in this case?

    Thank you,

    Scott

    Scott:

The splash shield in your pictures is not correct....it has been altered. Suggest contacting Paragon Reproductions for a replacement. They may have a used original....if not, they will have a correct replacement.

FWIW: I also have a 327/350 HP car with factory AC. No power steering or brakes. Convertible with side pipes 26,000 miles.

Thank you for the confirmation, and I'll check with Paragon to see if they have a pair of used originals (both of mine are in bad shape).

I found a pair of NOS (LH & RH) at a reasonable price, but I don't know if the GM NOS is going to be the same as the original part in this particular case. Has anyone compared an NOS example to an original?

      I remember!

I have researched this option combo a few times in the archives, yours is one of only a few other examples of the '67 L79 with the "HT" engine code suffix for a car with factory A/C and no power steering. The other examples were not all specific about whether they had power brakes or not.

The one I have is like yours (factory A/C, no power steering, no power brakes, "HT" engine suffix), except it's a coupe with rear exhaust and just a few more miles (96,341 before complete disassembly)
