    62 Corvette restoration assembly

Does anyone know of a publication that gives step by step assembly for a 1962 Corvette? Which part to put on first so a person doesn't have to back track and do things twice. I pretty much know how it goes but just wanted a reference book to refer to.

    Thanks

    Carl,

I think it would depend on exactly what state of disassembly the car is currently in. If it were completely apart, I would do it in the same order as they did in St. Louis. You can find info on this in the Noland Adams book, as well as a series of very helpful articles written by our own John Hinckley for Corvette Enthusiast magazine. These articles cover the mid years but I think there is a lot of crossover.

    Good luck.

When I get home today I'll see if I can find it. A fellow NCRS member made a lengthy note book on his assembly of a 61. I got from him years ago, hopefully he will see the post and contact you also.

Thank you Joe, I do have Noland Adams Restoration book. He mixes a lot of part # in his text. Really doesn't give step by step application. Don't get me wrong it is a good book.
This is not a body off frame but pretty close. Every thing is off the car, just got it back from the media blaster and as we speak it is in the paint shop do to be finished by the middle of Sept.

        Thanks again
        Carl
