    Need carb rebuilders

I am in need of a correct metering block for my 67 BB Carb. I have having difficulty locating one. Chicago Carb not helpful thus far. I would appreciate names and contact info for people or shops who rebuild these carbs in hopes they may have one. Holley does not have the correct numbered block, only the replacement.

    Thanks

James, this Compnay has very high quality restoration and parts available, Custom Rebuilt Carburetors, 200A Wood Ave, Middlesex, NJ. 08846, 732-356-4333. The dated and rebuilt #3810 I bought from them appears and performs like new, zero points lost in NCRS judging.
    Good luck,
    Gary

Check with Eric Jackson at Vintage Musclecar Parts, www.vintagemusclecarparts.com. Not sure what he sells as opposed to using for his restorations, but he restored my 3247 Holley and had a couple of the parts it needed to make it right.

Dittos on Custom Rebuilt Carbs and Phil Cancella the owner. If you are going to Carlisle, Phil will have a booth you can see his work and talk to him before you move forward.

Like Joel said above, Phil Cancilla overhauled AND restored my original '67 list #3810. Rare carb I think? He was quick, paid lot of attention to detail and the carb has worked perfectly for the last four years. He didn't feed me with a lot of BS, which I appreciated.

I wish now that I had sent the carb to him in the first place instead of wasting my time and money letting Holley "attempt" to rebuild it.

Great info! I did talk to Phil earlier today and he has a metering block which can be dated and stamped for the proper number. This is evidently a new piece. Sounds like it should work well.

              Thanks again

                James,

I am sure it will work well and be much better in design than the old style that would allow gasket seepage from warpage.

Other than #'s it's the idle feed restrictions and air bleeds that are important for proper calibration.

Check out these pics of new style verses the old and note the additional webbing to keep the block from warping.

For Holley carburetors, I use Holley's Custom restoration shop.
I have had excellent results, at fair pricing.

Their shop foreman tells me that many independent shops sub-contract thru Holley....

here's my 43,000 mile '67's carbs restored (by Holley)

p.s. they're sitting on a NOS service replacement intake with an April 1967 casting date. That is not a "re-make" intake manifold.

Good carburetion is fuelish hot air . . .
