    56 Clutch Fork & Rod

I don't have the original clutch fork and rod for my 56 but would like to get original components rather than switch over to the service replacement style with a clevis pin used in a 57 and later. Any advice on where I might find one? No reproductions are made as far a I know...

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark, try Grossmueller's, Paragon and Mary Jo Roehner.

    Good Luck!

Roy, could you post a picture of what the '56 clutch fork and rod are supposed to look like? Thanks in advance! Brooks Glover (2141)

            Roy,
From what I have heard, there is a difference in that the 56 clutch fork does not have a hole in the end of it. Not completely sure since I don't have one, but there is also supposed to be a riveted clip on it to retain the ball on the end of the clutch rod much like the system to retain the fork on the pivot ball on the bell housing.

Anyone out there know something to the contrary?

Hole at the end is for the spring to rod. Well you decide
