    Re: Seat Belt interlock problem
    Roger-
disconnected buzzer/light at the console. removed jumper wire..tried to start...doesn't start without it and buzzer/light is on (with buzzer disconnected??)

I have to use the jumper wire every time to start until parts are replaced?...Can I leave the wire in? or remove it each time after it starts?

reconnect clutch switch..you think it is disconnected; (but should I buy a clutch safety switch just in case?) found one #1993495 GM nos $140.

replace module behind radio (bought it), and replace start switch under hood as you said, and reconnect the seat connectors. (I thought just dissconnecting seat connectors disengages the interlock since when I reconnected them last month the interlock worked...then unplugged them again and car was starting and no buzzer/light. CONFUSED!! any explaination for this?

Back up lights. ok please explain...

PS Thanks so much to you and everyone who helped so far!! You guys really know your Corvettes!

I don't have an explanation. I'm hoping once you replace the relay you bought off ebay it will fix this.
You'll probably have to use the jumper until you get the relay.

Thanks Roger, William, Jack, Lyle, Mike, and John for your time and help with my problem. You guys really know your Corvettes. I will review all posts again before replacing anything. In the meantime I ordered the module and got the car started with a jumper wire to the orange start connector under the hood as advised by Roger. I will let you know what happens when the part arrives. I probably need to connect (or replace) clutch safety switch as well. Haven't checked it yet. Any additional thoughts or tips are surely welcome. I will return Sunday eve from a Rhode Island GM car show. Thanks again to all. Bob
