    1954 6 cylinder question

Does anyone have a chevy passenger car six cylinder in their 54 Corvette?

If so..what did you use for a powerglide, water pump, transmission lines etc?

If they did they use a car engine, keep the original PG, install a repro corvette 54 water pump and the PG if car can be modi. To a Corvette PG , also Corvette PG dint use lines so block off the inlet & outlet lines if car PG is used

      Which is the best option?

      * add real 54 corvette powerglide to NOM chevy 6 engine

      or

      * just use the entire NOM chevy engine and chevy powerglide and just remove the transmission lines and block the inlet and outlet holes

Trying to work with what I have in the garage.

I have the corvette 6 cylinder engine mounts right and left. What do I need for brackets on the engine. Not looking to make a top flight engine..just one that works.

If you don't have the original PG they cost big bucks, find a 6 engine car like a 55 ,56 Chevy with the PG because it will have a open drive shaft outlet and then you have a drive shaft made to fit that.Yes block off the PG lines ! Engine mounts can also be found on e-bay that you need .
