'58 Hood Female Latch Question
We are helping a friend get his '58 Fuelie restored and assembled after his father passed away and left him the car. It has been in the family for over 30 years, but has been disassembled most of those years. The car was built in early January, 1958 and we are trying to determine which Female Hood Latches it should have had originally.
Any photos of the latches and Cable support pieces would be greatly appreciated. It would also be helpful to know what month the car photographed was made so we can determine the break between early/late '58.
Any overall engine compartment photos of 290 HP cars would also be greatly appreciated. His goal is to restore this car to Top Flight condition and all help will be received gratefully.
