Does anyone know which Corvette parts vendors sell the C2 park lights with the correct white, blue and purple wiring as shown in the attached picture that will pass flight judging?

I'm just guessing, but for a part like that I suspect there is a single manufacturer, which leads me to think there isn't a repro that has the correct color sequence or the correct crimp, based on feedback I've read of the repro that most people have bought for many years now.

Do you have reason to believe that there is more than 1 manufacturer and that one or those manufacturers makes a more "correct" repro?

I can't say on this particular part, but for most of this LectricLimited.com is the direct source making these. They claim to know what is correct...FWTW.

James -- The '65 TIM&JG doesn't mention the color or order of the wires, although I know the judges look for a certain configuration [just don't know what that is].

Pics are of an NOS park light assy. in a GM white/blue box that I bought at Bloomington about 1991. Plugged it in and never worked, so put it aside for "later" . Maybe that's why the wire order is different than your example. Notice the middle white wire is a thinner gauge, and the blue is a lighter "powder blue", compared to yours.

It has been my understanding that Trim Parts makes the parking lights however a visit to their site shows none. These repo lights, in the past, have used blue-white-brown colored wire which is wrong.

I called Jeff Cook, Waco Judge & NCRS staff (??) said the white/purple/blue is the standard.

Now the GM NOS parts, 910552, are the white/purple/blue.
Can also confirm that the original 63/64 lights I have seen are the same colors. So to be safe stick with those colors only!
NOTE, that does not guarantee a judge will not like the colors (don't ask)

Where there other colors sometimes - my research suggests YES.
So find two NOS lights and you should be good to go relative to NCRS judging.

Hi James,

I just went to the garage to check some NOS park lamp assm. I purchased a few years back from the Corvette Museum when they were selling off NOS parts. The wire configuration I have is with the white/purple/blue wires, BUT compared to your picture my wires are configured:

Blue - top
Purple - middle
White - bottom

If it helps the white wire goes into the middle position on the plug end of the wire assembly. The wire gauge is all the same for all wires. Part number on the box is 910552 GR.2.585 (white box - white and blue label) and the lamp itself has 5950980 GUIDE F2-60 cast into it.

Sorry I can't guide you to a vendor with the correct parts.

James, if there is, we have yet to see it on the judging field.
The real key is the crimp shown in your photo that has not yet been duplicated.
As Kurt points out, the white wire is in the center of TFP units where the plug exits the inner fender. (There are pics in the newly revised '66 manual.)
The color sequence at the crimp, toward the light socket was erratic and varied.
The gage of all three wires were the same.
