'65 Jack Storage Compartment Paint

My '65 convertible is Nassau blue, with the blue/white interior. The storage compartment behind the seats is light grey rather than carpet color (blue). All sources agree that it's supposed to be carpet color. So how do I go about painting it? Spray it or brush it? What paint? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Dan
Ask your local auto paint store mix a rattle can of Nassau Blue with about 20% Flattener and you should be good to go.

Corvette America makes rattle cans of interior colors.
I found the original dark blue laquer interior paint on my 63. If you remove the grey apint you will probably find the original paint under it.
