I am restoring a 66 that I recently purchased from the original owner. Everything on the car checks out as original with proper date coding except for the carburetor. It is a Holley with the following numbers: 3875964, List 3230, 5A5, The engine is a base 327 300hp w/o AIR. The original owner claims that he never touched the carburetor and that it is what came on the car. I realize that he might not remember making a change all those years ago but I am wondering if anyone has seen an original carb different from what the Technical Manual says it should have? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Re: Carburetor Question
Somewhere along the line, the carburetor has been replaced with one off a passenger car; 44 years is a LONG time.- Top
