    Frank,

just make sure you have the car secure on the stands. Let us know how you make out.

      Frank -

The wheels don't care which side they're on - only the spinners and adapters do.

        John:

I never thought about that! The wheels are all labeled "LF", "LR", etc with white crayon and I just followed directions!!

        Thanks,
        Frank

          Re: Half Shaft Height Problem--SOLVED

I took Rich's suggestions and put the car up on jackstands and let the rear wheels spin. Watched the half-shafts spins and no contact, but no noise, either!

The problem worsened after my 275 mile drive to Charlotte at 45-55 mph to the point that walking by the car as it moved, you could tell the scraping noise and bump were coming from the rear right wheel.

After removing the wheel, hub, and rotor we found that the lever that holds the ball with the hand brake cable pressed into it had slipped inside the wheel assembly and was pushing against the emergency brake disc causing contact on only one spot inside the rotor.

We loosened the emergency brake cable, repositioned the level back into its correct position and no noise and bump.

Thanks to everyone who responded, and as usual, if you follow the directions you are given this TDB always comes up with the right answer.
