    61 Horn Mounting Bolts

    Hi All,

The JM indicates the horn mounting bolts for a 1961 generally have a head marking of "T" with an external tooth star washer. It doesn't give any other description.

Has anyone every seen any other head markings (L or TR) for these bolts?

Would the correct bolts have an indented hex head (untrimmed) or a cap bolt?

    I appreciate the assistance.

    Thank you.

    Dennis

Dennis, if the horn mount bolt is the same as '57's part # 120229. Head marking could be WB1C, UR or plain hex head 5/16" x .625" long. Part # also used in seat belt anchor for '57's. If part # from '61 AIM not the same, post the bolt part # and will see if I can find the info for you. Gary....

      Gary,

The '61 AIM indicates a part number of 122007 for the bolt and number 178537 for the washer.

      Thanks for checking.

Dennis, '57 bolt info shows 122007 bolt 5/16" x .75 hex head with WB1C, UR, L, TR small E or T head markings. That bolt is used in lots of different places in '57. Gary....
