    1972 Water Pump Pulley - Car w/a/c

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me find the right water pump pulley and the belt routing for a 1972 Corvette with a/c and power steering. It seems like the rusted double one is correct but since the a/c was never hooked up when I bought the car I am trying to figure out how to run the a/c, the power steering, generator and the water pump off the double pulley for the water pump. Thanks for any and all help.

John you don't say which motor you have but your best bet is to buy the AIM for your car. It can be purchased from the NCRS store. It shows the configuration for all motors' Hope this helps Reed

      John,
I have a '72 LT-1 with A/C and all power options (with the AIR pump as well), so I could give you the belt diagram. I also have the '72 AIM. If you want to send me your email address, I could scan the page and send it to you.

If it's a big block, it uses the same 3 groove pulley as non C-60 big blocks----GM #3992071. Long-since GM-discontinued but I believe available in reproduction.

If it's a small block, either base engine or LT-1, it uses pulley GM #3991424. This pulley is GM-discontinued and I don't know if it's available in reproduction, or not.

If it's a California-emission base engine or any LT-1, it also uses a single groove AIR driver pulley of GM #3991425 sandwiched onto the front of the 3991424.
