    '65 s/b air cleaner screen

Does anyone out there have an original '65 s/b air cleaner screen that they could photograph and either email to me or post on here? I'm trying to find one and I'd like see the configuration of the holes along the circumference of the screen.

    Thanks.

I just bought a 65 SB at Bloomington Gold Auction....I looked at my air cleaner and it has a foam air filter but no screen...should there be one?

It was a frame off in 2007 and has 327/350 HP, side pipes, beige soft top, teak wheel, knock off wheels and gold line tires, Maroon paint and Maroon interior..a beautiful car.

How can I get a 65 judging manual?

Hey Marc. I'd recommend you buy a 65 JG. Just click on the NCRS store link and you'll find the judging guides.

Yes, your '65 L79 car uses an oil wetted polyurethane foam air cleaner over a perforated steel screen.

Hi Tony -- here's one I've had since the early '80s. Can't say whether '64 or 5 screen. I notice the holes seem to be the same diameter as on the tri-powers, but more of them, for the added height.

Check the remnants of an original A165C air cleaner element; the rest has turned to powder .

Thanks Wayne! I'm trying to find one to buy, but I needed to know what it is suppose to look like first.

Hope all is well up your way.
          Best,
