Setting the record straight with facts

    Dear NCRS Members,
Today it came to my attention that a woman by the name of Dianne Millar posted here regarding work performed by Corvette Repair in LI New York. The thread has received over 1000 hits and I could not end my day without sharing some facts with you to set the record straight. Typically, I would not dignify such thread with a response but I simply cannot tolerate the character assassination of someone whom in this case is undeserving of it. There are plenty of charlatans and frauds out there who damage this hobby and I truly believe in a level playing field where the truth prevails. The Corvette hobby has rewarded my company handsomely for operating with honesty and integrity and has a way of rooting out the bad people rather efficiently.
I saw this post and found the details rather troubling when in fact I personally inspected this vehicle after it was repaired by Mr. MacKay and subsequently re-damaged.
The fiberglass repair was done to an industry standard and the paint match/ blend commercially acceptable.
The cost to perform the repairs were within reason for the quality of the repair.
I will not get into the details of my experience further than the public records which show nearly identical accusations of consumer fraud followed by dismissals of the Better Business Bureau, the Pennsylvania Attorney General and a ruling in favor of the defendent (my company) at the local Chester County Pa. Magistrate's court.
I realize the "technical board" is not the place for this but it is where the initial post was made that can still be accessed.
    Thank for your consideration
    Jim Jordan

Before this post is locked and/or deleted, it should be noted that this same drama has played out on most of the other popular internet discussion board, with the same end results.

I think that the level of work done by your shop and that of Mr. Mackay's shop are nothing short of excellant. This is why we, the owners of these unigue vehicles can and do appreciate exactly the five star quality work done by your shop and that of Mr. Mackay's. You know me and we have spoken at length at the complex nature or doing repairs, and doing the work to a level of unquestionable absolute quality. And we who understand the nature of these repairs do not question the process or the methods used.

Unfortunately, in the course of accepting jobs for repair or restoration, the level of communications is either misunderstood or ignored and upon compleation of the job there is unexpected attitudes that come into the repair process. This occasional problem happens but does not inpact the standards or the repect that we the owners who have work done by your shop or that of Mr. Mackay's. I have had work done by your shop over the last fifteen years and have never been disappointed. I do not know Mr. Mackay, but I have seen firsthand the quality of his shops craftsmen, and likewise, I have never seen a restoration that had even the slighest hint of anything other than five star superb quality from his shop.

Anyone who read and interrupted the individuals post can or could understand that this was once again a complete misunderstanding between customer and shop. Dispite situations like this, the level of quality work produced by both your shop and that of Mr. Mackey's does not wither under the explanation of the thread poster, but it does show that the customer did not or does not completely understand how a shop like Mr. Mackay's does their level of work. Unfortunate, yes. But it in no way deminishes the extrordinary work done by your shop or that of Mr. Mackay's.

I look forward to being able to use the quality and satisfaction of having work done by your shop and I'm confident that Mr.Mackay's shop will continue to accept and do and excellant and the ultimate in Corvette repairs and restoration work. Thank you and to Mr. Mackay for holding the level of quality work as high as is humanly possible. Thank you Mr. Mackay & Mr. Jordan.
