    LT-1 exhaust manifolds

Starting a body off resto on my LT-1 air-cond coupe.Very original car but have several questions for docomation.First question,is it possible that it came from the factory with both exhaust manifolds with RH castings? The dates are inline with build date of car.All other external engine componets check out as they should.

Without looking up the numbers (I am lazy this holiday) I believe in 1972 both SB exhaust manifolds had the same casting number -- so there is no right hand or left hand exhaust manifold that year.

That is the way the 72s came. In fact many original "Bowtie" cars have been seen with "R" writen in crayon on both manifolds also.

The casting part numbers are the same, but one book I have, states that there should be a casting letters showing RH and LH.
