    Power Steering on 66 L-72?

Was power steering available on a 1966 Coupe with the L-72 engine? I have a 65' and the 65' Judging guide, but am not sure about the 66'. Thanks in advance!

Yes, it was available. There was no ordering restrictions for N-40 power steering for 1966 Corvettes.

Joe, you are correct-I owned one in the past. FYI the pump pulley was cast, like the harmonic balancer pulley, unlike the stamped steel pieces on lessor HP rated motors.

All Corvette big blocks with power steering from 1965 to 1974 used the same 2 groove, cast iron power steering pump pulley, GM #3878245.

Some 63-74 small blocks also used a cast iron pulley but it was a single groove pulley, GM #3834720.

No Corvette after 1974 used a cast iron pulley for the power steering pump since there never was a cast iron pulley designed for use with the press-on style pump shafts used for all 1975-82 Corvettes.
