The transmission in that thing costs more than my ZR1...

I know two things for sure: The ZR-1 looks far better than the Veyron and is a lot more bang for the buck!!

And it's $60,000 for a set of wheels and tires, and replacing them periodically is part of the maintenance schedule (yes, the tires AND the wheels).

          John,
I figure that such cost of ownership for a Veyron is only a small drain on your wallet when considering that based on the MSRP for each of the automobiles, you would be able to purchase fourteen (14) ZR-1's for the price of one (1) Veyron.
          Best regards,

If your are going to go as fast as that thing is alleged to go replacing the tires and wheels periodically is very important maintenance.

I think I read that at top speed it runs out of gas in 12 minutes. Of course, there's no road on the planet where you could drive that speed for twelve minutes...

The tires only last 15 minutes.

Putting Corvette and Veyron in the same sentence is like comparing a Harley to a Hayabusa, or a push scooter to a bicycle.

A ZR1 is a fine automobile, but it's no Veyron.

Thank goodness, for the Veyron is the ugliest POS I have ever laid eyes on, with the exeception of the Bugatta Royale.

I agree. And that kind of "maintenance" schedule, with that kind of cost, is ridiculous.

Very true. I would think that you would get better styling for that kind of money. But the same holds true for the Vettes. GM has proven that they have no stylists...Aztec, "Shamoo" Caprice, the last generation (03+) Silverado, etc. Maybe if GM designs did'nt have to "grow" on people they would sell more cars.

Hey Paul don't put my Caprices (or is it Caprici) in the same sentence with Aztrec. I love my former police cars. Both are closing in on a quarter million miles and still rolling good. LoL

Alright, you caught me...I've owned one in the past. You can't say enough about the longevity of the heavy duty parts in the police package.

Yep, that's what I'd expect from a Chicagoland dude...

You got it Jack -- except I don't drive a MoPar and I don't smoke. However, I have done both in the distant past. In my misguided youth I owned a Hudson, Dodge, and Nash Rambler (the seat folded down ) serially
