    Part Number Help Needed

I have been getting better at researching and finding part numbers for my '96 but none of the sources I have list the fasteners for the rocker panel molding.

There are 4 chrome plated Torx screws that hold the panel in place along the time and 5 black body bolts w/ washers that fasten the bottom. The bolts have a slight flare where they meet the washer. I did manage to find the part number for the nylon anchors that Torx screws go into.

Any help finding the part numbers for these screws and bolts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanx

I cannot find that GM ever cataloged for SERVICE the 2 different screws. That fact strongly implies that the screws were never available in SERVICE. If you have the specs for the screws (i.e. metric thread size, length, head configuration, and finish), I might be able to come up with GM parts that match or closely match the descriptions and which MAY be the parts originally used.

Thanx Joe. I can have Shawn at CorvetteNutz.com through a few in the box with my next order. He's really good about helping with details like this.

Floyd, I don't know the numbers, but only a year or two after I bought my 96 I went to my local Chevy dealer to try to get some additional chrome screws you speak of. They were already not available, and may never have been.

Please let us know if you find a source for these.
