    66 VIN # 194676S127409 I found an old picture.

    Hey all !

Just got a call from a local guy ( Lima, Ohio ) who used to own this car. 66 blue convertible. It was his first Corvette, back in the 70's. He still has this photo with the VIN. I tracked it to the Cincinnati, Ohio area. It was sold by a used Corvette dealer around 2004 ( Performance Plus ) . The trail went cold there. Would love to hook the past owner up with the current if he/she is out there. Here's what it looked like in the 70's. It had a "Just Passin Thru" mural painted on the rear deck. As you can see, it had flares and Hooker side exhaust.

    Car was a 427.

Tom, I can't help with your post-2004 search. However, I distinctly remember my brother and I looking at that car when it was for sale by private owner in the mid to late 80's. It was located in a western suburb of Cincinnati and owned by a younger guy. The "Just Passin Thru" mural and fender flares still existed at the time. It had a NOM small block and was priced fairly reasonably for the time since I had very limited budget at the time. The car had some body damage and was fairly rough at the time, and had many aftermarket/incorrect components.

I wish I had bought that car now that you told me it was a real big block car.

At the time it just looked like too much work and I wasn't smart enough to identify it as a real BB car.

Interesting stuff and small world sometimes, thanks for sharing.

Just guessing, but I bet this is now one of many BB cars that have been "magically" reunited with all it's original matching numbers components.

So PerformancePlus (Northern Cincy suburb, Noel Grace owner) was not able to identify the 2004 buyer?

Wow, it is a small world !

I thought he should be able to as well. The past owner contacted him after I tracked it to Performance Plus. He said he wasn't able to put his hands on the records. He thought they took it to auction.
