in the process of removing and storing the 3x2 set off of my 68 427 4 sp. i am using a 69 390 HP 801 intake, new Qjet, and new repro air cleaner, etc. my question is where can I find the proper throttle cable bracket and do I need to actually change throttle cable? I think the last thing I need is the throttle return bracket . does anyone have a picture to follow ?

I'd say you're making a wise choice for the sake of driveability. I've always felt that "3 dueces" was pretty much a "gimmick". You'll note that GM did not use "3 dueces" on the L-88---they used a single 4 barrel.
Anyway, for 1968 the 3X2 throttle cable was the same as that used for other applications. So, you have what you need. I don't think the Q-Jet accelerator cable bracket is available in reproduction but you should be able to get a good used one from a used Corvette parts source like Pacific Corvette, Paragon Vintage, etc.
I don't know what you mean by a "throttle return bracket".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Dale
Here are some pictures of my '69 L36 setup with the bracket you are looking for. Please excuse the temporary tie wrap that I have on the cable to obtain full throttle opening, just haven't crawled under the dash yet to adjust the pedal linkage. I see where Paragon sells a repro #2521K with clamp and bolt for $49.

Steve----
Yes, all 1969's with Q-Jet used the same bracket. In fact, all 1968-69 Corvettes with Q-Jet used the same bracket. The 1970 and 1971-73 Q-Jet brackets will functionally interchange. However, all these 68-73 brackets are Corvette-only and will not be found on other models. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
