69 Front Rotor Recommendations

I need to replace my front brake rotors on my 69 coupe. Does anyone have a recommendation for buying these. It seems that many of the catalogs are selling foreign made rotors and I've had my share of foreign junk parts. I thought maybe some of you would have some ideas here. I definitely would like to locate correct American made rotors if they are out there.

Good luck Brad. I have given up on receiving Made in the USA rotors for [b]any]/b] vehicle I own, and they are ALL Chevrolets -- except for the 1937 Cadillac, and I am not looking for drums for that . Maybe the rotors for my 2008 Z06 are USA Made (the outside of the box is devoid of source, and I am told there is no requirement to label parts "Made in the USA" -- only foreign made parts need to be labeled , and I have not opened the box to see if the rotor is labeled ). Every other rotor I have purchased was made someplace else -- the best being Canada, and the worst (IMO) China -- and all of them are AC Delco. I hope someone is able to point you to Made in the USA rotors for your Corvette, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I would checkout Bair's at www.bairs.com. They are are TDB sponsor/advertiser (see header bar above) and have USA made brake rotors. Other parts suppliers may also have the same.

Hi Brad:
I just recently bought new rotors for my daughter's 2002 Z-24 Cavalier at a local parts store. To my amazement the boxes said MADE IN USA! They're still out there. If you're friendly enough with your local parts guy, he MIGHT be able to help you (this was a local, non-chain supplier). All you can do is ask around. I would guess the chain suppliers all get the "offshore" stuff. Unfortunatley I no longer have the boxes so I can't help you that way. Regards..joe

I use Bairs rotors, both the USA and Import, and they are fine.

Be sure that you need to replace them before you go through this hassle. Many rotors are needlessly replaced....
