Is their a difference between 327 solid lifter oil pan and a non solid lifter oil pan in 65 thanks

Yes, there is. The solid lifter engines, L-76 and L-84, used the "6 quart" GM #3820001 oil pan. The hydraulic lifter engines, 250 hp, L-75, and L-79 used the "5 quart" GM #3820000. It's possible that some L-79 without power steering used the "6 quart" pan. I don't know if that's ever been confirmed, or not.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
