    1967 voltage reg grounding

I had my reg grounded on the lower front and they told me that was wrong. So where and on top or under the reg. Thanks in advance.

Flip your copy of the '67 AIM to UPC 6, Sheet B4. There, you'll see the installation of the voltage regulator depicted. The drawing is pretty clear as to where the ground lug from the wiring harness attaches...

The ground is bolted to the same place as the condensor is, to the rear of the voltage regulator, just under the cover. Dale

          Dale,

Does the ground go next to regulator housing first and then the capacitor bracket or the other way around ?

            Mike -

I don't think there's a documented "correct" way (the capacitor installation illustration in the U69 section of the Assembly Manual doesn't show the alternator ground wire), but the alternator-to-regulator ground is essential, so I put the alternator ground ring terminal against the regulator base, with the capacitor on top of it.

              John,

That's what I thought as well, thank you.
