Rattle when clutch pedal is pressed

I am restoring 1974 Coupe with an L82 and a Muncie 4 Speed. The new engine and clutch only have 500 or so miles on it. I just started hearing a rattle when the clutch is pressed. No rattle when not pressed no rattle in gear, but when pushing in or letting out it makes the noise. It starts out as a tick, tick, tick, but gets louder to more of a rattle. Any clues what this may be? Dan

Dan it sounds to me like a defective or improperly installed throw-out bearing or a pressure plate problem. I had this problem once and had to pull the trans to find the pressure plate, which was brand new, was defective.
