    Rear Leaf spring Identification

I have two questions concerning the visual appearance of the optional heavy duty rear leaf spring. I believe the same spring was used from 63-74 as GM Production part # 3828811. Question #1: Was this sping identical in visual appearance to the standard leaf spring with respect to the ends of the leaves. For instance, I understand all upper supporting leaves are trimed back about 2 inches on each side, are flared upwards and have a straight end or somewhat square appearance. Does the 7 leaf optional spring have that same end appearance ie: straight across or square on the end ?

In !975 the part number changed to #354130 for the heavy duty 7 leaf optional spring. Question #2: Were the ends of this spring as installed at the factory round with a 2.25 radius with the previously mentioned trim cuts and the flare up?

    Thanks for your help!

Can't speak to the second question, but yes the early HD leaf spring leaves used the same construction appearance as tne standard with respect to the trimmed area and the flip-up at the ends.
