      Re: Painting my 1967 Roadster

Hi Gerald . I am also in the process of painting my 67 coupe in Marlboro maroon metallic / It is the original color of the car / I got my paint from rainbow paint in Braintree mass / I got two samples for paint outs to see what the colors would look like on the car / the two colors were both Marlboro maroon metallic renditions from different mfgs / the two colors were quite different / one was what I would have too describe as flat / it was probably the closest of the two to the original color but I didn't like it as much as the second sample which really popped / I am going with this second sample even tough it probably is not an exact match to the original / My point here is there are a number of mfgs of Marlboro maroon metallic paint and they are all a little different / get a few samples paint out a few panels and choose the one you like best I'm sure you can find one you will like / I hope this helps / Jeff sorry about the slashes my period key doesn't work
