iPhone/iPad Corvette Birthday Calculator app: preview

I'm working on a first iPhone applications and as a test subject I selected the Corvette Birthday Calculator (as I also have available on the C1, C2 and C3 registries). The app will only work for C1 till C3 cars initially since I'm using the websites as calculation unit to determine the date. This also means the phone should have internet access when the app. is used. In a next version I'll probably remove this requirement.

Here a screen shot to get an impression of the app in its current form:

    regards,

Rob - that looks nice. Is the plant a field that needs to be selected ? If so, I don't understand why that would be necessary.

In 1981 there were 2 plants a car could be build. Btw i removed the switch and addressed the issue differently. The app is now ready and tested so i plan to distribute it to Apple later today to make it available in the iStore soon...

...or a photo library with stamppad stamps and VIN & Trim tags for each year to use as a reference at the judging field...

Next thing you know we'll plug the phone into the lighter and the phone will judge the car. Print out a score sheet and download the Top Flight certificate ! Pick up blue ribbon on the way out.

For a long time I thought with all the bar code labels on 1980 and newer Corvettes all one would need to judge the car is a bar code reader. My daughter tells me there is an app for that already in that one can use the iphone to scan a bar code and it will tell you what the product is, where and for how much it is available for. Think of how that would change both jugging and restoration.

Probaby with babies being born with chips in their head. Laptops and desktops with be obsolete. They will do away completely with keyboards/or punching in a number which may be a good thing for us old stubby fingered old men!!

The application just became available. Search for Corvette and scroll down to find the Corvette Birthday Calculator. Let me know your feedback!!!

Looks good and works as advertised. Only suggestion would be to maybe retain last VIN looked up, or an option to save the search. Good job, and Thanks!

Thanks for building this app. Just had a friend ask about helping him with all of the numbers on his 64, including the b-day. This app will come in handy. Thanks...maybe the next step would be to indicate the date range for the component parts...this could be helpful when looking a car like my friends.

                              Well done.
