I have a question concerning the carburetor return spring(s) on a 1968 427/435 F-15 car. The judging manual is indecisive and I reviewed something several years ago by Joe Lucia that didn't definitively answer the question either. At Gettysburg I had the yellow spring attached to the front fuel line and the top of the accelerator linkage and received no deduction. At the Canandaigua chapter meet I received a deduction because it was alleged that two springs should have been utilized. Does anyone have any definitive information on the correct spring setup? As always, thank you for the help.
By the way, my car top flighted at it's first showing in Gettysburg and my first judging experience at an NCRS event was very enjoyable. It also top flighted at Canandaigua as well. I received a great deal of help on this forum during the restoration process and the help and support is appreciated.
