I am going to need to re-glue the support channel to hood skin on my 56 and had a question about the glue. I am going to use the black bonding glue type that was utilized on assembling the other major body components, but have noticed that on the original hood, it appears to be a lighter color, almost a tan glue.
Any reason for the difference in the glue used originally? Was this always the case or did they switch back and forth? I'm pretty sure they didn't switch back and forth on the body glue. It's going to get blacked out anyway, but I was just curious.
Thanks,
Mark
