69 Corvette Seat Shim

Can someone explain what 69 Corvette seat shims are? Are they just what they sound like and shim the seat so it doesn't wobble?

No, the shims are supplied for the purpose of adjusting the angle of the seat back. There are rectangular shims that install under the seat back lock bracket and round shims that install under the bumper.

Curiously, when originally delivered to me, my 1969 had the cloth bag containing only the rectangular shims and no round shims. However, I think the intent was that the UPPER bumper could be adjusted down to effect the adjustment on that side of the seat.
