1961 1962 Expansion Tank Bracket

Repairing a few used parts lying around to get plated. This was for my 62 but missing the end piece that mounts to the intake. I repaired it but not sure if the hole was originally round or slotted. Nolands book has a photo on pg366(bottom right), but hard to see if it's slotted. I see pictures of repros and appear slotted. Is that right?

I have a spare I'm looking at and its definitely slotted. The long side of the slot is about 3/4" and the short side is about 3/8".

Thanks Donald. I also found out from another source as well but didn't have the dimensions of the slot. I filed it into a 3/4" slot, 3/8" wide and sending out for plating with a bunch of other goodies I had lying around.

FYI I noticed the little hose clip had a marking on the backside......a stamped "8". And the headmark on the attach bolt is "E".
