Finish for brake switch assembly bracket

This is the brass block with the pressure warning switch GM 3980797. There is a steel bracket swedged on. I'm looking for the finish on the steel bracket.

On the bottom surface of this bracket that faces the frame, there looks like there is a small area that shows yellow chromate for a finish.
Is this correct.

Yes, the attached steel bracket was zinc plated with an irridite ("gold") overplate.
