    '63 steel wheel ID

Is the "part number" stamped on the wheel or just on the sticker/label?
(I know it should have the description and date stamped on it).
    Thanks, Dan

    Daniel,

The general thinking here is no sticker/part# on production wheels. It's best to look at pictures in the archives and learn what to look for in these 63-64 wheels. Good pics in archives..

Here's a good shot someone here posted a while back. The wheel on the bottom is the real deal production 63-64 wheel. The one on top is the old service relacement. I believe it was referred to as the 8080 wheel.

Here's a date code for a real wheel too. You will see no part number on them.

Also check out's John's article on page 80 of the new Corvette Enthusiast magazine. August 2010 issue.

Perfect...This is what I thought, but wanted to confirm. Thanks, Dan
