    67 Shock ID-Standard Suspension

Can someone tell me the correct id labels for the 67 standard small block shocks?

    Paragon lists EK and EM
Long Island lists EL and EM

Which is correct or are both of these acceptable?

BTW my vin is 5241 if that makes a difference

    Thank you

My 67 JM call's for standard 67 front shocks to have "EK" sticker and the rear standard shocks to have "EM" sticker.

Just spoke to Long Island and they contest that EL and EM is correct.

I am Flight Judging my car in Charlotte next month and dont want to make a mistake...can a judge weigh in on this?

        Thanks,

            William,

I did not mean to discredit your response. If it was taken that way. I was just looking for more input specifically regarding the response that I got from Long Island.

            Thank you,

I owe you the apogee I didn't mean to come across as harsh. All I meant was ask all the questions you want. For me thats what this board is all about Learning and its been a GREAT help to me.
Long Island maybe right but if its in the JM you have a pretty good argument for not losing any points.
              Sorry again

Those are great pictures, thank you.

Wonder why the judging manual says EK?

I cannot answer that question other than perhaps some judges have seen other codes on original cars.
We all know some anomalies occur.

Even though my own '67 is undergoing a complete frame-off, nut & bolt restoration, these original non-restored shocks are going back on.

Perhaps some more judges will offer opinions on these stickers.

                      Hey guys,

                      Shock stickers.

Fronts Ridge has EL on his original fronts, when did the front switch from the EK found in 65 to the EL?

Back to the top with another question, what size were these labels originally and did the size vary by year?
