    John Eyestone passes away

John Eyestone, longtime NCRS member, and FI rebuilder until diabetes made his hands unable to feel parts, passed away overnight here in Milwaukee. He was on my wife's (RN) floor at St. Luke's hospital. He was either 67 or 68. RIP, John.

      Re: John Eyestone passes away

38 years ago when I lived in Racine Wisconsin John helped me with my first FI car. I met him at a meet and he saw that I had an FI car . He asked how I liked it and I explained that it just didn't seem to run right. He took his time and over the course of a couple weeks helped me understand how the unit worked and gave me parts that I needed and then helped me setup the unit. I think he was a teacher in his day job, he had the paitence and love of the subject. Without his help and caring I would have given up on these strange boxes called FI. I now have three FI cars and still have the one John and I worked on together. Thankyou John

Rev. Mike, So sorry to hear about your close friend John Eyestone passing.
John was one of the old timers in the FI world and well respected in our hobby.I met John in person at an NCRS national at Warren, MI around 1990 or so. But we talked on the phone and swapped parts way before that.
John was the BG FI structor and did many seminars. Always a gentleman and all around good guy. I had heard he has been suffered for a long time now.
May he rest in peace. God Bless John. JD

I guess I had better study reading comprehension some more. I was ready to go on the 12th. Duh.
