          Let's try to post a photo today. As you can see, it's painted, which obscures what you're looking for and may be an attempt to cover things up. The 2's look the same in the photo I posted just in case your monitor or the resolution isn't clear enough.

              Anyone else with a picture of a 67 427/435 with assembly date of TO223JE.........? or a vin number near 12,463 small or big block?

                        be careful when it comes to engine pads! my first 67 corvette that I owned in very early 70's now has a "documented" 427/435HP motor in it ,,, if I had only known that using 93 oct. fuel makes engines gain an other 100 cubes >> LOL

                          What is the vin of the car? I would let Nick or Al know so that does not have a chance in slipping through the cracks.

                            In the old days if you took a Corvette to be judged at BG/ NCRS with a ground out pad,overstrike or mis aligned characters you got docked most of the time. It was only after AL G. showed that it happened all the time. It almost happened to me at BG with my 66 427/435 conv.

                                435 engine with an assembly date of TO223JE and a vin somewhere near 12,463 to compare to mine...
