    low idle with AC on

    My stock '67 350 hp(L79) idles at 750 rpm with factory air off.It drops to 600 rpm with AC on. Is this normal? Should I install an aftermarket idle solenoid?

      The 150 RPM idle drop-off is normal. I set my idle to 750 RPM with the AC on, and it operates at around 900 RPM with the AC off.

      Idle solenoid is a good idea.......it probably should have been a factory item, especially for the L-79 engine.
