'62 Hood Weatherstrip

Is weatherstrip adhesive applied to both surfaces of the "L" shape? Thought I remember hearing at one time that only one surface was cemented. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think Bill is asking is the glue applied to both surfaces of the "L" profile(horiz or vertical), or just one surface, and if so, which one.

p.s. I just found some photos of my 62. Sorry not close ups from the edges. I think it looks like glue only on the inner surround, not the hood underside. It makes sense to me, but ?????

Generally the weatherstrip was applied with a 1" -1 1/2" brush, one swipe across the hood, on the underside of the hood, without much, if any, getting on the surface that is vertical to the hood itself. It normally started on the left side about an inch from the outer edge and continued across and right off the right side surface.

Same question but on a 65. Do you glue both sides of the L?
