How do I remove the interior lock knob so I can remove the door panel on 1967 coupe?

I think most folks either use a dental pick or a thin rag/silk stocking to hook the door lock clip and disengage it.

Is this the same clip as on the window cranks?

Just a little hint. When you put the clips back on to install the handles, make sure you put all of them on the same way. Closed end of clip facing the handle. This way you can use the clip removal tool by always inserting in toward the handle to free the clip.

A dental pick with a hook works on the lock knobs, regular tool for the other handles.

Mike, there is a special tool for this purpose. It costs a few dollars and is graduated for vent knobs and window cranks.
