I've been documenting casting and stamped numbers on our 66. The pumpkin has stamped on it AO 11 1 65. I know that AO refers to the 3:70 posi and assume the following numbers relate to November 1, 1965. Does anyone know where the car might have been in the production line, given this date? Would appreciate any insight you may have. Thanks!

Somewhere between (11/5 # 5051 and #7186 11/30 ) assembled in Nov 65
( 12/1# 7315 to # 9892 12/30 in Dec.
most likely at least 1 to 3 weeks after rear casting date , could be more or a little lest. But at least a week in Nov.
What does you trim tag build date say? Or you vin # we can tell you within a day or so- Top

Re: 66 Production History
66 judging manual shows between 11/3 and 11/ 4 11/3 ends at 4784 and 11/4 ends at 4918
so that matches with c4 nov 4

Re: 66 Production History
Hi Bill. Our '66 is a small block, L79 engine. It is a numbers matching car that came from the factory with leather seats, knock offs, transistor ignition, power windows, teak and telescopic, tinted windows, AM/FM, etc. Looks like our car came off the line 3-4 November 1965. What about yours?- Top
