The molded plastic rim was identical for all '64-'67 standard steering wheels; only the center spoke configuration changed for '67. Over time, the "texture" wore down with use, and as a result, some have a more "smooth" appearance than others; they all started out the same.

Thanks, John. I took my 64 wheel outside into the sun and put some extra eyes on, and I can faintly see a finger joint and some grain near the spokes. I assume that my wheel is the standard 64-66 wheel. I'm also assuming that these wheels are different from the 63 option N34 wheel.
