    1960 v.i.n. 102495 Are you out there?

A co-worker of mine came in to work today with a picture, (looks to be old) in a picture frame, with the owners card for 00867s 102495. My co-worker was in Denver over the weekend hitting the flee market and found this and a single fuel injection emblem. The photo is of a 1960 silver (no cove color) corvette with red interior, with two people sitting in it. I checked the C1 Registry and it is not on it. He bought it to bring back to me and I sure would like to see it re-united with the corvette's current owner. Hey you Colorado members, does this ring a bell?

Greg, can you post a picture? I have a friend, Pete, who ordered a silver/red '60 new and was often found with his friend (who I bought my '57 from). Does the '60 in the picture have FI emblems?

    Thanks!

Here you go! Sorry it took awhile to get it scanned!

No, doesn't appear to have f.i. emblems on the car!

Thanks Greg. I was hoping it was Pete's but it isn't. Pete's had hardtop and blackwalls. It was a 270 HP, 4 speed, 3.70. He ordered his '60, '64, '65 and '69 all silver with red interiors.

        Great picture and card.

        Thanks!

I was just talking with the co-worker who brought the picture back to me and he said that the seller at the flee market told him that the person behind the wheel is William Meyer, the name on the card. The seller also said that William has recently passed away and this guy is selling off his collection of memorabilia. My co-worker said that this was all the corvette stuff that he saw, but there was alot of Cameo Pickup stuff in the mix of things he had for sale. He brought the sellers telephone number home with him, so I plan to call him to learn more! The thrill is in the hunt!
