    Engine suffix LX

I have a big block with a suffix id of LX and a casting date of c17 which is March 1, 1967 I believe. I thought the LX suffix was used on 69 435"s with auto. trans. Does anyone know why it would be dated in 67? Thanks in advance, Phil

The only application I can find for the "LX" code is 1969 L-71 with M-40. In fact, the only Chevrolet applications I can find for 1967 that used an "L" prefix engine code were some 6 cylinders. Are you sure the code is "LX"?
