Like I told you in Gettysburg, I'll be in the UK but will have my computer with me and I'll "git er done"...we go to press July 2nd...Have a great trip and would love to have been there too...Your dad will be along for the ride, I'm sure!

It'll take some time, Michael Brown and his team will be following the car and myself the entire trip to help document everything. I'm sure he'll have a ton of footage, he'll have the ugly chore of finding out what to keep and what to scrap... it's going to be awesome all said and done! He and his team do incredible work and I'm thrilled he'll be a big part of it all.

There will be a film crew (http://www.mbpvideo.com/) with us during this trip. Micheal Brown, the owner of MBP Video, and I have become good friends over the past couple of years. He's going to be documenting the entire trip - it should be a blast!

Other than that, I do not have any media scheduled other than magazines & etc. John Fitch and I have been asked to be a part of the GM Media Conference that will take place on both Thursday and Friday leading up to the event. I'm honored to be a part of the Corvette Racing Media Conference and look forward to seeing a nice outcome after we're wrapped up with the trip. The first conference will be automotive focused and the second will be more lifestyle focused (GQ magazine & etc.).

In another 50 years, Thompson's

car will be reported as the overall race winner.
The reality of 1960 is that at the start as he approaches the Dunlop Bridge, Thompson is 1/4 mile behind Jimmy Clark in an Aston Martin and the Mulsanne timing for #2 as reported by The Motor, an English magazine, was 152 mph.

Always nice hearing from you. I believe a lot of this has come from my original goal which was to fulfill my father's dream - I've been working on this project for over 4 years (which I have documented). Once GM jumped on board things really started to progress - now the media is starting to bite into it... 50 years since the Corvette's FIRST class victory at Le Mans was always my push and angle... but hey, I'm just thrilled the word is spreading! It's VERY good for the Corvette hobby as a whole.
