I have a 1972 Lt1 with headers and I wan't to restore it back to the proper exhaust manifolds. The engine code is CKY which I believe doesn't come with the K19 Air Injection Reactor System. Do I need 3932461 exhaust manifolds that haven't been pre drilled? Car was built in November 71, what dates would be correct also. Thanks Ron

Re: 72 Lt1 Exhaust Manifolds
I don't know why Chevrolet Engineering did it like that, but some engine options list K19 as a separate option and for others it is included with the engine option, and of course there are those which have no K19 or AIR.Terry- Top

[QUOTE=Tom Parsons (3491);489998][quote] and an LS1 in a B4C -- one of 288B4C is the police pkg, right?

I am told there is dash camera video of the officer with my car chasing and catching motorcycles -- but they won't let me have a copy.
The service records show they changed the valve springs before they sold it. Why do you suppose that happened? LoLTerry- Top

Re: 72 Lt1 Exhaust Manifolds
ALL 1970-72 LT-1's were originally equipped with AIR. No exceptions. So, you need the manifolds with AIR fittings (PLUS, all the rest of the AIR components). Most of these are easily available in the reproduction, used, or rebuilt market. The problem will be an original diverter valve. That's where BIG $$$$ come into play.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
