Guys, My paint was done by Nabor Bros 15 years ago, it is acrylic laquer and I will admit , it is a very fine surface. I'm sure it is nicer than any 67 that rolled off the assembly line. Since I also do shows like Amelia Island Concours, Ilove the great paint, it looks fabulous. NOW, one of the exterior judges said to me" you have made no attempt to dull the jambs, etc Well, actually I've worked on them for hours, BUT obviously I didn't do a good enough job of it!! Now, he suggested, I spray the door jambs, hood jambs, etc and make them dull and rougher He said if I do it, I will only loose 22 points for application as opposed to losing the whole 85 points. Makes sense to me. I just don't want to go to all the trouble and expensive only to find that it isn't true, and I still lose 85 points?? What do you think??

Re: Over restored paint questions
Don,
I think there has been a thread or two within the last month or two on that very subject that had something about dulling the door jambs in the title. Someone even posted an image of the paint judging matrix that is the word from on high.
